Cops recover BMW from Johor stab-and-ram case

The white BMW used in the brazen murder of a man at a petrol station in Johor Bahru on Dec 17 has been recovered at an oil palm estate in Pontian.

According to Star Online, the police said the car was considered a murder weapon and its last sighting was reported yesterday afternoon.

Johor police chief Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said four of the 15 suspects have been released and three more suspects were being tracked down.

The attack saw a 44-year-old man being repeatedly stabbed before being rammed twice by with the vehicle, which bore a false license plate.

Dramatic scenes of the assault at the Taman Pelangi petrol station were widely shared online.

Reports on initial investigations results had suggested that the victim had underworld links. Other reports suggested that there was a bounty placed on the victim.
