PKR cobbling deal on interim PM

PKR has urged the public to give it time to discuss Pakatan Harapan's interim PM nominee with its coalition partners and other stakeholders.

Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin said Harapan must name its candidate for prime ministership because voters should know who they are voting for.

PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan believed that it was wrong for Harapan to plan on having an interim prime minister because this would lead to an unstable and weak government.

SRC probe hamstrung

The MACC is still struggling to locate several witnesses relevant to its probe on SRC International, a former subsidiary of 1MDB, where RM42 million of its money was found in Prime Minister Najib Razak’s personal bank account.

The Ministry of Finance said it is not beholden to anyone, following questions over how it managed to pay 1MDB's US$600 million debt to IPIC this month.
