Pakatan Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad said a special committee has been formed in Selangor for seat negotiations.
This came after there was confusion surrounding the role of the Selangor Harapan election committee.
“With regard to Selangor, there was a little bit of misunderstanding as to which body should be looking into the division of the constituencies.
“They entrusted it to the election committee but actually it should be a special committee and now we have set up the special committee and they will take over and the problem will be resolved,” Mahathir said in a press conference at Bersatu’s headquarters in Petaling Jaya after the Harapan presidential council meeting today.
He also said dissatisfaction over Negeri Sembilan's seat allocation had been settled.
On Sunday, a group of disgruntled Bersatu members had disrupted the Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan convention after they complained of being allocated the least number of state seats among the four component parties.

“There is a little bit of dissatisfaction.
“There are no organisations without any problems but the success of a party is in how it resolves its problems,” Mahathir said.
He also touched on Harapan seat negotiations in Sabah as well as a possible cooperation with Parti Warisan Sabah led by former Umno leader Shafie Apdal.
“We have Pakatan Harapan in Sabah with DAP, PKR and Amanah. But they have had discussions in Sabah and they realised there is also Parti Warisan Sabah there.
“If we collide with Warisan, we will both lose. So a sort of cooperation might be formed between Warisan and Pakatan Harapan,” Mahathir said.
