MCA president Liow Tiong Lai has identified Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Aziz as a ‘colluder with the opposition from within BN’.

“Today, MCA not only confronts opposition parties, which appear omnipotent, but also the "colluders with the opposition" from within BN.

“The ‘colluder with the opposition’ from within BN that I am talking about, everyone knows who he is.

"He is the tourism minister who is making baseless accusations against (business tycoon) Robert Kuok,” Liow said during his speech at MCA’s 69th-anniversary celebration at the party’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.

Liow had previously said that there are those within BN who are colluding with external forces to ruin MCA, though he did not mention names.

When asked to comment further on the “colluders with the opposition from within BN”, Liow said he would rather not stoop to name-calling.

“I do not want to (resort to) calling names but I am saying that MCA will work very hard because we are facing very, very tough elections, we want to focus on elections,” he said in a press conference held after the anniversary celebrations.

An ongoing feud between Nazri (photo) and MCA has surfaced after the minister launched a vitriolic attack on Kuok, who was accused by blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin of bankrolling DAP.

'Nazri, mind your language'

MCA leaders accused Nazri of doing them and BN a disservice, claiming that the minister’s attack on a respected business magnate would irk the Chinese community and benefit DAP.

Nazri had also called MCA a “crybaby” for discussing the issue of Kuok with Prime Minister Najib Razak.

“They can hit us. When we hit back, they become afraid and meet the prime minister. This is like a crybaby,” he had said.

In his speech today, Liow also lashed back at Nazri on this matter.

“Nazri, mind your language.

“Let me remind you, what’s wrong with MCA conveying the feelings of the Chinese to the prime minister?” he questioned.
