GE14 | Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos bizarre protests against the Selangor government over the years have turned into fodder material at Pakatan Harapan ceramahs in the state.

At a ceramah in Paya Jaras tonight, PKR deputy youth chief Afif Bahardin joked that if voters didn't decide properly, they may end up with Jamal as menteri besar.

"Do you want a handsome menteri besar who wears a suit or Jamal who wears a towel?" he asked as the crowd burst into laughter.

Later, Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali too played on Jamal's stunts in his speech.

"I don't have a problem if I am no longer menteri besar, you can have Jamal," he joked.

Azmin, who is also PKR deputy president, then recounted Jamal's bizarre stunts at the Selangor state secretariat building.

"He came with a towel and a toothbrush on his ear, asking to take bath at my office. Is he mad?

"Even (Amanah president) Mohamad Sabu doesn't ask to have a bath at my office," he said.

Azmin (photo) also recounted how Jamal lined hearses in a protest outside his office, causing several funeral services to be disrupted.

The menteri besar also criticised the government media for claiming that Selangor was facing a water crisis.

"They claimed that the people of Selangor could not shower for a month. Tell me, has anyone here not had a bath?

"Who has not had a bath?"

At this, the crowd shouted "Jamal!".

Azmin also highlighted the state's contribution under his leadership, including foreign direct investments.

He also urged voters to turn out in force, pointing out that the redelineation exercise impacted Selangor the most.

Parliament was dissolved on Saturday and a general election must be called within 60 days.

The Selangor state assembly is expected to be dissolved tomorrow.
