GE14 | MCA president Liow Tiong Lai said today that for the 14th general election, the party traded the Bandar Tun Razak seat with Umno in return for Ampang.

He said the swap was done in the BN spirit and was a strategic move to retake the two parliamentary seats held by PKR since the 2008 general election.

"Seat swaps are something normal… it is done in the coalition’s (BN’s) best interests,” he told a press conference after opening Galeri Karak here today.

Federal Territories BN, in announcing its candidates for GE14 today, named Umno figure Adnan Abu Seman, a lawyer, as their candidate for Bandar Tun Razak, which is traditionally an MCA seat.
