YOURSAY | ‘Has Najib forgotten about the Psy concert in Penang before GE13?’

GE14 eve - 10pm: Najib live on TV3, Dr M live on Facebook

Anonymous 432321505022479: Malaysians, turn off your television set and listen to Pakatan Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s speech live on Facebook.

Teach Umno-BN a lesson that they will never ever forget. Shun the mega concert too.

You all know the underhanded tactics employed by Umno. They are trying to sabotage Mahathir’s speech with the ‘Langkawi Hebat’ concert.

Anonymous: What if for reasons unknown, dark forces conspire and make it impossible for the public to access Mahathir’s Facebook page?

Ah Beng Kia: Indeed, I wonder if the internet will even work after 10pm on May 8, or if we will be hit by ‘scheduled maintenance works.’

Anak Kampung: Hmm. The ‘Langkawi Hebat’ concert featuring Ramli Sarip, DJ Dave, Dayang Nurfaizah, Joe Flizzow and others is co-organised by the Langkawi Development Board (Lada) and the Finance Ministry.

Why is this being funded by taxpayer dollars?

Cocomomo: Indeed, even at the last minute, when caretaker prime minister Najib Abdul Razak’s popularity is on the wane, he can’t help himself - using the Finance Ministry to organise a concert.

People of Langkawi, please show your disgust by staying away from the concert. Or you can turn up later and collect the lucky draw goodies.

Watan: Really, why the need for a lucky draw? Don’t mock people who are going through hardship, by making them trade their conscience for some essential items.

Anonymous_534b7352: Everyone that attends the concert instead should turn on the torchlight on their smartphones at the precise time Mahathir is speaking to show all concertgoers that supporting the current opposition is much more important than having a good time at the concert.

Don’t forget concert goers, Mahathir will be speaking live on Facebook. Everyone who is watching TV when our caretaker PM is speaking should switch it off, but similarly, step outside, turn on the torchlight on your smartphone to illuminate wherever you are to show all Malaysians that supporting Harapan at GE14 is imperative to change the course of our country.

Anonymous: Those in Langkawi, please forgo this one concert. If cannot ‘tahan’ (stand it), just make sure you have mobile broadband. Watch Mahathir and take your prizes.

Also, you can watch Mahathir on recorded video online after the concert. Invoke, Oren, etc, need to make sure the video available over many channels - Facebook, YouTube, etc.

Mahu See Lui: Has Najib forgotten about the Psy concert in Penang before the last election? People watched the show and enjoyed themselves, but when he asked “Are you ready for BN?” the people rightly answered “No!”

And how can the Finance Ministry be involved in this sort of propaganda under the caretaker government? This shows how corrupt the system has become under the Umno-BN kleptocrats.

The Finance Ministry is not their piggy bank.

Have A GreatDay: This is the advantage of incumbency - what more, Umno-BN has full control of the mainstream media.

I was very happy to hear Invoke Malaysia’s predictions for GE14 – unless their methodology is way off target – it does look like we are looking at the dawn of a new era come May 10.

All For It: Najib still hasn’t learned his lesson. The more BN sabotages Mahathir, the more sympathy he will garner.

RM2.6 Billion Turkey Haram: As usual, Najib has no ideas of his own, but merely copies others’ ideas. In this case, he chooses the same time as Mahathir.

Fair Mind: To ensure the greatest impact tomorrow, there must be a ‘wow’ factor to either of the speeches, like getting Sirul Azhar Umar or Abdul Gani Patail to suddenly show up and speak.

Or else people will lose interest hearing the humdrum ceramah materials which they have heard a thousand times before, and they might even be enticed by the prospect of the dull-looking concert.

Can Mahathir or Harapan produce the thunder which will make 10 million Malaysians glued to their seats tomorrow? Whoever does that tomorrow will seal the election.

Clever Voter: TV3 is no longer a TV channel urbanites would naturally choose. Same as the New Straits Times, they are merely a mouthpiece for BN.

The BN manifesto is peppered with hype and empty promises. Hardly anything that is worth examining since these would never be carried out.

Whatever it is, BN personalities are not what the future needs, these are people blessed with zero moral standards and a superhuman capacity for hypocrisy.

Opposition numbers, while they may not be perfect, are worth considering. They are winning the hearts and minds of many.

Anonymous 15761504748288: Thanks Najib, almost forgot for a second that TV3 still existed.

In Saddam Hussein’s final days, when the US troops were nearing Baghdad, he wheeled out clowns like his information chief ‘Comical Ali’ to say everything was going swimmingly and that Hussein would win on all fronts.

How did that turn out?

Flabber Pro: I will not waste any minute of my life listening to Najib’s speech.

I did so when he addressed Sabahans, and those are 10 minutes of my life I’ll never get back.
