Police and officers with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) are reminded to maintain their integrity and independence with regard to the ongoing probe on ex-prime minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Lawyer Mohd Haniff Khatri Abdulla also suggested that directions be made by the Attorney-General's Chambers or the 1MDB investigations committee led by Abu Talib Othman that only Inspector-general of police Mohd Fuzi Harun and MACC chief commissioner Mohd Shukri Abdull be allowed to issue statements on such investigations.
