Johor gov't to develop urban, rural youth hubs
The Johor government will develop a Youth Hub throughout the district including in rural areas in an effort to ensure the development of a new social generation.
State youth, sports and culture committee chairperson Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar said the development of the hub was aimed at ensuring that no young people were left out from reaping the benefits of government public facilities despite being in rural areas.
“The Youth Hub is a place where all activities related to youth will be carried out. The first Youth Hub was started in Johor Bahru before, in Hutan Bandar at a cost of about RM15 million.
“The second Youth Hub is being planned for Iskandar Puteri with the facilities there being bigger and more complete, where we may have a football field and a swimming complex that can accommodate more visitors,” he told reporters in Johor Bahru today.
