S'gor MACC arrests ex-DAP rep over false claims

The MACC today arrested a former Selangor DAP assemblyperson over false claims worth about RM30,000.
According to a source, the 41-year-old man was arrested at the MACC office at about 3pm.
"He will likely be charged at the Sessions Court in Shah Alam tomorrow," said the source.
It is learnt that the man will be charged under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009 for making false claims for two civil programmes in 2015 worth about RM30,000. The programmes were never held.
Selangor MACC director Alias Salim, when contacted, confirmed the arrest but refused to divulge details.
For the record, in 2016, Selangor DAP had sacked one of his assemblypersons over alleged misused of state funds and reported the matter to MACC.

DAP reported the matter to MACC - that is what I expect from DAP and all other parties.
