"I have read the case, I think it is not just me, there will be several others who will bring up this matter in the cabinet meeting," he said to reporters after attending a town hall session for Parliament of Malaysian Youths (PBM) in Kuala Lumpur today.
He was asked earlier about the need for a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) to investigate the judiciary over this matter.
Deputy Prime Minister Wan Azizah Wan Ismail had previously said it was important for the government to study the formation of an RCI, adding that Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad was also considering it.
Last Thursday, Court of Appeal Judge Hamid Sultan Abu Backer had alleged that certain members of the judiciary have been aiding private parties to defraud the government.
He mentioned this in an affidavit filed on the same day, which supported lawyer Sangeet Kaur Deo's application to declare that the chief justice failed to defend the integrity and credibility of the judiciary over two alleged incidents of judicial interference.
Apart from that, Hamid also claimed that there was judiciary interference in the Sodomy II trial of PKR president Anwar Ibrahim and the sedition trial for the late Karpal Singh, who was formerly the DAP president.
Yesterday, Hamid refused to provide information to the MACC, insisting that he will only speak to a special taskforce to convene an RCI.
