The High Court in Kuala Lumpur has deferred its decision in Rohizah Ahmad's challenge against being named in place of her late husband, former Paya Besar MP Abdul Manan Ismail, in a forfeiture claim to recover RM270,000 in 1MDB-linked funds.
This is pending a new application from the MACC to list Rohizah's children as the respondents in the suit.
MACC, in an attempt to recover RM270 million in allegedly misappropriated 1MDB funds from 41 local individuals and groups, had named Rohizah as a respondent in the case related to her late husband.
The court fixed Sept 19 for mention.

Rohizah was represented by lawyer Nur Aifaa Mohd Zain, while deputy public prosecutor Nik Haslinie Hashim acted for the MACC.
Abdul Manan, a two-term Paya Besar MP, passed away in February 2018. He had served as Najib’s private secretary from 1986 to 2004.
Rohizah had objected to the MACC's suit on the basis that prosecutors were fully aware of Abdul Manan's death when the suit to recover the 1MDB-linked funds was filed.
