1. DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said the transition from Dr Mahathir Mohamad to Anwar Ibrahim as prime minister would likely take place after the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Summit in November next year and party members should therefore not "waste time" questioning the transition plan.

2. Lim also addressed concerns about three-page Jawi content in the Bahasa Malaysia syllabus for vernacular schools, stating that it would take a genius to become proficienct from the limited content.
