'Nanyang' apologises over report implicating politician's son
Chinese daily Nanyang Siang Pau has apologised over a report which claimed that a Pakatan Harapan leader's son was detained in Singapore over bringing in RM2 million in undeclared cash.
"Upon checks, the report was based on incorrect information," said Nanyang in a clarification today.

"The article did not name the political party involved or the person.
"The matter was heavily debated online and someone was subjected to attacks."
Given the impact caused on the person, Nanyang said it apologised to the person and readers in general.
Yesterday, Nanyang reported that a high-ranking Harapan official's son was detained in Singapore for having undeclared cash and would be charged.
The article also coincided with rumours that the person in question was DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.
Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador has come out to claim that the allegations were untrue.
Meanwhile, Lim has vowed to sue Umno Youth exco member Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris for purportedly spreading the rumour.
