Amanah man loses Yadim chief post ahead of Dec contract expiry
Amanah's Nik Omar Nik Abdul Aziz has vacated his post as Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (Yadim) chairperson effective yesterday.
Sources told Malaysiakini this was despite Nik Omar's (photo, above) contract expiring in December this year.

"His contract was terminated although it was only supposed to end in December," said the source.
When contacted, the eldest son of Kelantan's former menteri besar Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat confirmed the matter which was shared on social media.
"Yes, true," he said in a brief WhatsApp message.
Earlier, an email from Nik Omar to Yadim staff was widely shared on social media.
According to the email, Nik Omar informed the staff that yesterday would be his last day serving the agency under the purview of the de facto Islamic affairs minister.
Meanwhile, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Zulkifli Mohamad in a statement today confirmed that Nik Omar's position would be replaced by PAS central committee member Nasruddin Hassan effective immediately.
He added that the position of Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (Yapeim) chief would be filled by Mohd Redza Shah Abdul Wahid.
"My special recognition for Dr Daud Bakar and Nik Omar Nik Abdul Aziz for their contributions throughout their service.
"My congratulations also to Mohd Redza Shah and Nasruddin. I hope Yadim and Yapeim will continue to drive the excellence of the ummah," he said in a statement on Facebook.
