1. Police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission conducted joint raids against Al Jazeera, Astro, and Unifi TV over Al Jazeera’s controversial documentary on Malaysia’s treatment of undocumented migrants.

2. Communications and Multimedia Minister Saifuddin Abdullah defended the raids and claimed foreigners had disparaged Malaysia’s frontliners. His response left the dismayed Seputeh MP Teresa Kok remarking that Saifuddin is a “changed man”.
