COVID-19 | Sime Darby Property Group today confirmed that an employee who works at its headquarters in Petaling Jaya was tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.
Following this, the company ordered all other employees based at the premises to work from home for the time being.
It said deep cleaning and disinfection exercise would be conducted at the building.
"As a preventive measure, employees based at the corporate headquarters will be working from home, and the building will remain closed until all safety and regulatory requirements are met.
"The group is undertaking a detailed contact tracing exercise to identify employees who have been in close contact with the affected individual.
"They are advised to immediately self-quarantine and seek medical assistance if they display any symptom or feel unwell," the company said in a statement.
These measures, however, would not affect the group's business operations, it added.
According to the company, the employee who tested positive was the last present at the office on Oct 2 and is now receiving treatment at a government hospital.
