BUSINESSES

- Maybank, Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur

A staff member at this branch had close contact with a Covid-19 patient outside of the bank, the branch said in a notice today.

As a precautionary measure, the bank will close temporarily for sanitation, starting today until further notice.

- Pasar Awam Larkin, Larkin Food Court, Johor

Bernama cited the Johor Health Department as saying that an employee at the public market had tested positive for Covid-19.

The market and food court have been closed for sanitisation work, and for workers to undergo screening.

- Pasar Besar Klang, Jalan Meru, Klang, Selangor

Sinchew Daily reported that the Pasar Besar Klang market in Jalan Meru, Klang has been closed after 14 fishmongers from Block C tested positive for Covid-19.

According to the article, the market has yet to be disinfected while foreign workers at the premises have yet to be tested.

Malaysiakini is seeking confirmation from the Health Ministry.

- Restoran Taj, Kuantan, Pahang

Individuals who visited the restaurant from Nov 30 to Dec 9, and have developed a fever, cough or sore throat, are advised to seek Covid-19 screening.

Free drive-thru screening for affected individuals is conducted at Klinik Kesihatan Indera Mahkota until 4.30pm today, the Kuantan Health Department said.

Those seeking testing are urged to bring their own pens and wear their face masks properly.


GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Johor Education Department, Johor Bahru

Bernama cited the Johor Health Department as saying that a department officer had tested positive for Covid-19.

The premise has been closed for sanitisation work, and for workers to undergo screening.


RESIDENCES

- Sri Jati Apartment 1, Puchong, Kuala Lumpur

A resident of Block B tested positive, the management said in a notice dated Dec 14.

The management said it took "all measures to minimise risk to other residents".

- Sri Suria, Bukit Rimau, Selangor

A resident of here tested positive for Covid-19 today, the management said in a notice.

Common areas have been sanitised. 

- Various localities in Kulai, Johor

According to the Kulai Health Department, several localities have recorded new cases of Covid-19, namely Taman Scientex Jaya, Desa Idaman, Seelong, and Senai Indah Park in Senai, and Taman Sri Pulai and Iris Park in Kulai.

- Kampung Tombol, Kota Belud, Sabah

The Kota Belud Health Office urges all who paid respects to the family of a deceased in at Jalan Haji Majol, Kampung Tombol (next to Pasar Tani / Bazar Rakyat) to undergo Covid-19 screening.

The free screening will be available at Dewan Tun Said, next to the post office, today from 10am to 12 noon, it said in a notice.

- Periwinkle, Bandar Rimbayu, Selangor

Eliminating Deaths & Abuse In Custody Together (Edict) executive director Khalid Ismath, who lives here, has tested positive for Covid-19.

He had contact with his mother, who tested positive for Covid-19 last week.


RECREATIONAL CLUB

- Kelab Golf Negara Subang (KGNS), Petaling Jaya, Selangor

The owner of a catering company operating at the club's Golfers' Terrace tested positive for Covid-19 today.

He was at the Golfers' Terrace daily from Dec 9 to 13 and came in contact with several club staff there.

The club will close from 8pm today until Saturday for sanitation, and resume operations on Dec 20, it said in a notice to members. 

- Danau Golf Club, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia

The club is closed today after a member who played golf at this club on Dec 16 tested positive for Covid-19.

The member had close contact with three other members and one staff member.

Areas visited by the said member in the clubhouse area will be sanitised.
