  • Latest places added: Platinum PV13, KLSMK Tulid, Keningau, Permai Polyclinics, Sabah; Mid Valley Southkey Mall, JB; Maisson Residence, Selangor; Residensi Sentulmas, KL; Taiping police district headquarters, Perak.

Below are verified locations that are reported to be affected today.

BUSINESSES

- Maybank Bandar Baru Ampang branch, Selangor

A staff member at the branch tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday and came to work the day before, according to a notice put up by the bank.

Detailed contact tracing is being carried out, and all other staff who had close contact are being quarantined.

The branch - which has been sanitised - will be temporarily closed.

- Mid Valley Southkey Mall, Johor Bahru, Johor

The mall will be closed until further notice starting Jan 23. During its closure, the mall will be sanitised and disinfected.

Previously, mall tenants Popular bookstore and Village Grocer had reported Covid-19 cases among its employees.

EDUCATION ENTITIES

- SMK Tulid, Keningau, Sabah

A teacher at this school tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, the New Straits Times reported.

Following this, 48 students who had close contact with the teacher have been placed under quarantine.

- Tun Fatimah Form Six College, Kota Melaka, Malacca

The school was ordered closed for a week starting yesterday after a teacher tested positive for Covid-19, Bernama reported.

State education exco Noor Effandi Ahmad said close contact tracing was being done, but that it was an "isolated case".

"This is an isolated case so parents need not worry as quick actions were taken," he was quoted as saying.

- SK Sultan Sulaiman 1, Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu

The school was ordered to be closed for 14 days starting yesterday after eight Covid-19 cases were detected there, Bernama reported.


OTHERS

- Various locations in Kuching, Samarahan, Sibu, Sarikei, Miri and Bintulu

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee yesterday added more than 40 locations where those infected with Covid-19 had visited in the past 14 days, and the time they visited.

RESIDENCES

- Platinum PV13, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur

The management reported that 11 security guards have tested positive for the virus according to Sin Chew.

Sanitisation work has been carried out.

- Setapak Ria Condominium, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur

The management said in a post on Facebook on Jan 23 that a resident from Level 11, Block C had tested positive for Covid-19.

This is the fifth case at this condominium. All affected areas will be disinfected.

- Maisson Residence, Ara Damansara, Selangor

The management said in a notice to residents dated Jan 23, which was sighted by Malaysiakini, that a resident from Block 1 Level 6 had tested positive for Covid-19.

The resident has not visited the pool or the gym in the past week, the management said.

Disinfection and sanitisation at all possible contaminated areas and common areas have been arranged.

- Residensi Sentulmas, Sentul, Kuala Lumpur

The management said in a notice to residents, sighted by Malaysiakini, that a resident had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 23.

It advised residents not to use the common facilities within Residensi Sentulmas and assured that the intensity of cleaning and sanitisation within the premises has been increased.


OFFICES

- Dataran Prima, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

The management said in a notice to tenants, sighted by Malaysiakini, that a staff member of a tenant at Block F2 had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 22.

All common areas and the affected floor will be sanitised and disinfected.


GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Taiping police district headquarters IPD, Perak

A woman who was arrested and brought back to the Taiping IPD on Jan 17 had tested positive for Covid-19.

Eight police officers are currently under quarantine. The other inmates who shared a cell with the woman have undergone swab tests as well.


MEDICAL FACILITIES

- Permai Polyclinics, Kota Belud, Sabah

The Kota Belud Health Office has sent out an alert asking anyone who visited the clinic between Jan 11 and 16 to get screened on Monday.
