Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein is undergoing home quarantine again after coming into close contact with a Covid-19 patient.
He revealed this in a comment on Instagram, where he apologised for not being able to return to his Sembrong constituency, to meet with two students who scored 10As and 11As in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exam.
Hishammuddin had communicated with them via video call instead.
The senior minister is the second cabinet member to be quarantined recently.
On Thursday, Federal Territories Minister Annuar Musa was quarantined after his special officer tested positive for Covid-19.

This is at least the fourth time Hishammuddin has been quarantined after close contact.
The first time was in May last year after a Wisma Putra officer tested positive for the virus.
He was quarantined again on Sept 28 the same year after close contact with a Sabah election candidate who contracted the virus.
Hishammuddin was also quarantined early last month, grounding plans for him to attend the Special Asean-China Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Chongqing, China.
