Former Kedah menteri besar Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah today admitted that his administration was the one that approved the large-scale Musang King durian plantation in the Gunung Inas Forest Reserve near Baling.

However, he said, he was not the one who instructed the logging and the approval was to mitigate the impact of the earlier clear-cutting, which left the forested mountainous area bare.
