PHOTO ESSAY | In a historic decision, Najib Abdul Razak became the first former prime minister to be jailed for embezzling RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd.

The decision of the Federal Court yesterday in upholding the conviction and sentence of 12 years in prison and a fine of RM210 million in default of five years in prison saw the sixth prime minister lose his appeal at the highest level after four years of the case.

Some of Najib's supporters looked tearful, and a few even sobbed outside the court after the verdict was delivered.
