Mum really misses Najib's voice, laughter: Ex-PM's daughter

The daughter of convicted former premier Najib Abdul Razak has put up a social media post showing her mother Rosmah Mansor in prayer attire, in which she attempts to capture the sadness felt by the jailbird's wife.

"Daddy is not with us, not at home anymore now.

"I try to accompany mummy as much as possible, cure her longing with the emptiness at home... sometimes at bedtime too so that the bed next to mummy doesn't feel so empty.

"Mummy is a wife who really misses the voice, laughter, cheerfulness and presence of her husband by her side," said Nooryana Najwa Najib on Instagram.

"A mother who now takes on the responsibility of being head of our house temporarily, and at the same time also fights for justice for herself.

"A grandmother who is always trying to figure out how to answer her grandson's question when asked ‘where is grandpa?’" said Nooryana, whose step-sibling Mohd Nizar recently compared her father to the late South African freedom fighter Nelson Mandela.

This is despite Najib being jailed on massive corruption charges while Mandela was detained for 27 years for fighting to overturn institutional racism, torture and murder.
