Perak DAP will be fielding 10 new faces or 37 percent out of 27 parliamentary and state seats that the party will be contesting in the upcoming 15th general election (GE15).

DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke said among the fresh faces to be fielded (state seats) are Ong Seng Guan (Pokok Assam), Jason Ng Thien Yeong (Astaka), V Bavani (Malim Nawar), Koo Haai Yen (Keranji) and Woo Koh Leong (Pasir Bedamar).

Another new candidate Thulsi Manogaran, daughter of Pahang DAP deputy chief M Manogaran, will be fielded in the Buntong state seat.

Loke said Goh See Hua, 33, will be replacing incumbent Howard Lee Chuan How in the Pasir Pinji state assembly seat.

This election will also see DAP fielding its youngest candidate Steven Tiw Tee Siang, 29, in Tronoh. Tiw currently holds the position of Perak DAP Youth wing secretary.

DAP will also be fielding Badrul Hisham Badarudin at the Changkat Jong state seat, which Amanah earlier announced a candidate for.

This afternoon, Amanah announced it will field Muhaimin Sulam at Changkat Jong.

At the parliamentary level, new candidate Ahmad Tarmizi Mohd Jam will be contesting in Gerik.

Meanwhile, state DAP chairperson Nga Kor Ming will leave one state seat for another - Aulong to Kepayang. Nga will also be defending the Teluk Intan parliamentary seat.
