BN willing to set aside differences to form govt

GE15 | With no coalition emerging as a clear winner in the 15th general election, BN has expressed its willingness to join hands with other parties to form a "stable government".

Its chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said it is even willing to "set aside past differences in sentiments" in the interest of stability.

This comes as Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders meet in Shah Alam to decide on cooperating with other parties to form a government.

"BN sees the result of GE15 as a clear signal to us," he said in a statement.

"However, BN will always be committed to contributing to the formation of a stable government and we are willing to set aside previous differences in sentiments."

Although Pakatan Harapan appeared to have won the most seats, it is still not enough to reach a simple majority.

PN comes second in terms of the number of seats won, followed by BN.

As of 2am, winners have been announced in 192 out of 220 seats, through official and unofficial counts.
