Newly elected Permatang Pauh MP Muhammad Fawwaz Mohamad Jan has refuted a claim that free petrol was offered in the constituency to celebrate his victory in the seat long held by Pakatan Harapan chairperson Anwar Ibrahim and his family.

"There have been no instructions nor is it in my plan to give free petrol. We don't even know who will make up the federal government," he said in a Facebook post yesterday.
