Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) will never take part in any “langkah” (move) to topple the federal government as it will lead to chaos and greatly affect the nation’s stability, said its chairperson Hajiji Noor.

The Sabah chief minister said the nation has a federal government that has good relations with the region.

“So why rock the boat? We work for the nation’s and people's prosperity, we do not support any move that will destabilise the country.

"Malaysia practises democracy, those aspiring to become prime minister should just wait for the general election to see if the people accept them," he said in a statement yesterday.

GRS also fully supports Anwar Ibrahim as the prime minister, he said and is confident in his leadership.

“Let him lead our multiracial country to prosperity,” he added.

It was apparently a move to get enough support from MPs to unseat the administration.
