Police classify singer-YouTuber's case as sudden death

Police have classified the death of singer and YouTuber Muhammad Nidza Afham Mokhtar, whose body was found in Sungai Klang yesterday, as sudden death.

Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said the autopsy carried out on Nidza's body was completed at 3pm today.

"The autopsy was conducted from approximately 11am to 3pm. The cause of death is pending laboratory investigation and there are no other physical injuries," he said in a statement today.

Earlier, Hussein confirmed the body found in Sungai Klang yesterday afternoon as Nidza’s.

The body was sent to Shah Alam Hospital for post-mortem.

Nidza, a contestant on the reality show “I Can See Your Voice 3”, was reported missing at 7.45pm yesterday after he went out to jog at Sultan Suleiman Stadium in Klang at about 11.53pm the night before.

His wallet and mobile phone were found on the Sungai Klang bridge.

The post-mortem was conducted at the Shah Alam Hospital and concluded around 4.15pm. His remains were then brought to Masjid Puncak Alam for funeral prayers.

Hundreds of mourners including family and friends, mostly in black, paid their final respects at the Puncak Alam Muslim cemetery.
