MACC to record statements from Vivy, husband

FashionValet founders Vivy Yusof and Fadzarudin Shah Anuar have been summoned for questioning at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya this morning.

MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki said the fashion entrepreneur and her husband are expected to answer questions about the losses sustained by Khazanah Nasional and Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) from investments in the fashion brand.

“We will record statements from the husband and wife today,” Azam said in a brief text message when contacted for an update on the case.

Azam added that investigators have so far recorded statements from four individuals who worked at Khazanah Nasional, PNB and the Finance Ministry.

“All of them are officers in charge of investment affairs (at the respective agencies),” he said, without elaborating further.

Yesterday, it was reported that MACC raided FashionValet Sdn Bhd’s office in Kuala Lumpur as part of its investigations into Khazanah and PNB’s losses after investing public funds amounting to RM43.9 million into the brand.

According to a TikTok video by the anti-graft body, four locations were raided simultaneously.

The losses are being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009, which governs the offence of providing false claims.
