PAS vice-president Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar has tendered his resignation as Perikatan Nasional treasurer-general.

PAS’ party organ Harakahdaily shared a brief message that purportedly came from Samsuri, stating that he submitted the resignation letter today.

“So far, PN has not issued any official statement on this. The reason for the resignation is also yet to be officially revealed by Samsuri or anyone in PN.

“Any speculation on the matter has not been confirmed,” Harakah reported.

The resignation came just two days after the PN supreme council met to confirm the appointments of six key positions, namely that of the secretary-general, women’s chief, information chief, and supreme council members.

The meeting saw Bersatu retain all six positions.
