JKOM expands efforts to clarify Madani concept

The Community Communications Department (JKOM) will expand its programmes to eliminate misunderstandings about the Madani concept.

JKOM deputy director-general (management) Kafrawi Ridzuan Tarmizi noted that the concept has often been misinterpreted as a political agenda.

However, he said the Madani concept promotes universal values that are suitable for incorporation into the daily lives of Malaysia’s diverse population.

He was speaking to Bernama after the 2025 Madani Unity Programme for the Kepala Batas parliamentary constituency in Penang yesterday.

“In programmes specially designed by JKOM, we have received a lot of positive feedback, particularly in terms of introducing and instilling an understanding of the Madani framework, which has been embraced well by communities.

“The programmes we carry out also target specific groups, such as today’s event, which is aimed at students, who are regarded as vital national assets and future leaders.

“When we focus on the younger generation, especially students, we are essentially planting the seeds of Madani values in the next generation,” Kafrawi said.
