The MIC has called on the Indian community to take full advantage of the Housing Credit Guarantee Scheme announced by the government to help citizens own their first homes.

MIC president S A Vigneswaran said the scheme was especially important for the Indian community, as they often face difficulties in securing financing due to irregular income.
