The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) will be appealing against fines and suspensions meted out against it as well as seven heritage players by the International Federation of Association Football (Fifa) over "doctored documentation".

FAM acting president Yusoff Mahadi assured that it will also exhaust all available legal avenues and procedures to ensure that the interests of the players and the Malaysian national team are safeguarded.
