A total of 64 villages located at 13 river mouths in Terengganu are feared to be affected by the high tide phenomenon expected to occur from Jan 1 to 5.

Terengganu Irrigation and Drainage Department (DID) director Osman Abdullah said the high tide phenomenon, which is expected to reach between 2.7 metres and 3.5 metres, could cause flooding in low-lying areas, beaches, and river mouths.
