As both parties are under Perikatan Nasional, the Larut MP stated that he is closely monitoring Bersatu's statements and actions to see if they view his party as an adversary or friend.

"I am observing whatever actions they (Bersatu) intend to take, whether they view me as an adversary or they want to view this party as their friend within PN.

“All of that will be taken into account," he said during a press conference today.

MACC

  • Lawyers for the businessperson Albert Tei have questioned the police for supposedly reversing their decision to return a CCTV decoder seized during the MACC’s raid on his home in November 2025, less than 24 hours before Tei is scheduled to collect it from the police today.

In a statement, Mahajoth Singh and Zaid Malek said the device had been returned to the MACC instead, who are the subject of the police investigation that has since been classified as no further action.

Tei and his wife had lodged a police report claiming the MACC had used excessive force during the raid, and had publicly announced on Tuesday that he would replay the footage to the media immediately after he collects the decoder from the police.

“We can only conclude that this decision is premised solely on the fact that our client wishes to examine the decoder himself and share its contents with the public,” the duo said, noting that a key piece of evidence is now in the custody of the very agency being investigated.
