After suffering another electoral beating in Johor, Pakatan Harapan's next big step is to go on a retreat.
The retreat and the holding of a convention are among two measures the Harapan presidential council listed out in an effort to revive its spirits.
The coalition said weaknesses that need to be addressed were multi-cornered fights among the opposition parties, logo, low turnout and Harapan's communication on issues.
PKR deputy president candidate Rafizi Ramli, however, opined that Harapan also needs to go back to issue-based politics which gained the coalition public support.
This is amid a dive in Malay support for Harapan, behind BN and Perikatan Nasional.

Umno AGM kicks off
After much delays, the 2021 Umno general assembly kicked off yesterday, with the Umno Wanita, Youth, and Puteri wings set to meet today.
Umno deputy president Mohamad Hassan set the much-expected tone for the AGM, which is to push for a snap general election.
Officially severing ties with PAS also appears to be on the cards, as is quelling internal dissent.
The Johor menteri besar crisis may also be a hot topic, although not from the Johor delegation, which has been ordered by the victim of the crisis, Hasni Mohamad, to stand down.

Ex-PAS MP airs dirty laundry
Kuala Nerus MP Khairuddin Aman Razali is not holding back his punches after quitting PAS.
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang implied yesterday that it was God's will that Khairuddin has been "cast overboard" from the party.
In turn, Khairuddin accused Hadi of bulldozing PAS' entry into PN without going through the proper party channels and processes.
He also dismissed calls for him to fulfil an oath to PAS to quit as MP if he leaves the party.
However, he will be giving up his earnings as a lawmaker to PAS.
Part of the oath that PAS candidates took in 2018 is that any income derived from public office after leaving the party would be "haram".

What else is happening?
The Federal Court rejected Najib Abdul Razak's bid to introduce fresh evidence - such as the banking information of former Bank Negara governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz's family - into his SRC International case.
Police will go to Singapore by end of the month to facilitate their probe into Zeti's husband Tawfiq Ayman.
The Kemaman teen accused of murdering her newborn is trying to appeal to the Court of Appeal to secure her release on bail.
