Johor sultan's HSR ambitions
Johor's Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar wants the scrapped Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project, but with a twist.
The monarch, who will be crowned the next Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Jan 31, wants the HSR line to pass through Forest City - the ailing megaproject popularly known as a "ghost city" due to its low occupancy.
Sultan Ibrahim has a major business stake in Forest City.

Zayn Rayyan murder probe ongoing
The police probe into the murder of six-year-old autistic boy Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin is still ongoing.
Police believe the boy was killed elsewhere before his body was dumped in the stream it was found.
Fingerprint and DNA evidence have been found, and police have conducted a broad sweep of apartment residents in the area to collect DNA samples.
Police are also scrutinising the registered sex offenders list for possible suspects.
Police, meanwhile, said there was no evidence that Zayn Rayyan was a previous victim of child abuse as there were no signs of old injuries found on him.

Madani anniversary goes nationwide
The Madani government is taking its first anniversary celebrations nationwide.
The celebration-cum-performance review programme will be held at the state level starting with Selangor.
The national-level celebration has featured lucky draws - with the grand prize winner taking home an apartment - and discounts on traffic summonses, among others.
However, the traffic fine discounts are only on those issued by the police, not the Road Transport Department, much to the chagrin of offenders misled by some media reports.
