House arrest bid: Najib hits speedbump
Najib Abdul Razak's bid to be placed under house arrest will have to wait even longer now.
The Federal Court on Monday granted leave to the attorney-general to appeal the Court of Appeal ruling, which allowed Najib to initiate a legal challenge to enact the house arrest order.
This led the High Court to suspend Najib's challenge, pending the Federal Court's decision on the appeal.

Sabah scandal evidence dumped on MACC
The whistleblower in the Sabah corruption scandal has handed over a phone containing WhatsApp messages related to the case and nearly 300 pages of evidence to the MACC.
His lawyers said the evidence contains names of witnesses, locations, call logs, and share transfers done in a “clandestine” manner.
Sources said the evidence exposes the alleged appointment of proxies as shareholders in companies seeking mineral exploration licences.
Meanwhile, MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki said the forensic analysis of 10 video clips implicating Sabah politicians of taking bribes should be completed next week.

MCA does separation song and dance again
MCA is once again beating drums about whether or not the party should quit BN.
It is a song and dance that the party has been performing on and off since 2018.
This latest performance is allegedly over delays in BN making clear decisions regarding its direction.
BN chief Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, has however, been clear that he wants the coalition to partner up with Pakatan Harapan in the next general election.
So it's likely that MCA's umbrage is more about being sidelined by Umno in favour of DAP.
