Anwar fails to matchmake BN, GRS
Pakatan Harapan chairperson Anwar Ibrahim has failed to get his two partners in Sabah, BN and GRS, to work together.
Anwar had hoped to avoid seat clashes between the two and orchestrated a meeting aimed at mending fences last month.
However, BN chief Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has confirmed that his coalition will only work with Harapan in the upcoming Sabah state election.
Sabah BN leader Salleh Said Keruak claimed the snub was after GRS offered to give BN just eight seats to contest in the election, despite the coalition winning 14 seats in the last election.
Despite BN putting its foot down, Anwar is refusing to give up, insisting that he will find a solution.

Muhyiddin consolidates position
Two years ago, Muhyiddin Yassin announced a short-lived plan to retire as Bersatu president.
Now facing a plot to topple him, the Pagoh MP has emerged stronger than ever within the party - at least for the time being.
Muhyiddin called out the plot at the Bersatu AGM on Saturday, triggering a commotion.
However, the conspiracy was quickly snuffed out when Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin - the conspirators' purported choice for party chief - publicly swore allegiance to Muhyiddin on Sunday.
The party has even named the Bersatu president their candidate for the next prime minister.
Muhyiddin should be wary, however, and not be lulled into a false sense of security like his former rival Najib Abdul Razak - whom Umno quickly turned against after they lost the 2018 general election.

New GLC boss red-flagged
Halal Development Corp has a new chairperson, Shah Alam Umno chief Azhari Shaari.
However, PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari red-flagged his appointment over a criminal case two years ago.
In 2023, Azhari was charged with dishonestly misappropriating RM440,000 meant for orphans and an Aidiladha korban programme.
He was also charged with knowingly using fake annual general meeting minutes as genuine documents.
While he initially claimed trial to all charges, he eventually pleaded guilty to one of the forgery charges.
His other charges were then withdrawn, and Azhari was slapped with a RM1,900 fine and had RM220,000 forfeited to the government.
