Anwar, the Beast, and Gaza
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his supporters defended inviting US President Donald Trump to Malaysia, saying it was an opportunity to engage the latter about Gaza.
When Trump arrived, Anwar was criticised for being too friendly with the key Israeli ally.
Meanwhile, his public remarks on Gaza only seemed to praise the US president for securing a ceasefire.
However, Anwar later clarified that he used his time riding with Trump in the Beast - the US president’s official car - to speak up for Palestinian rights and press for lasting peace.

M’sia continues US-China tango
The trade deal Putrajaya signed with Washington on Sunday made critics question whether it was undermining Malaysia’s neutrality.
Critics pointed to clauses requiring Malaysia to mirror US trade policy - which they said could harm ties with China - as well as provisions aimed at stopping Beijing from evading US tariffs.
However, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim dismissed such fears, saying that Malaysia and Asean had also signed an improved free trade deal with China on Monday.
This, he said, showed that Malaysia was not bowing down to the US.
