Speculations of a high-level conspiracy against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and him striking back with an eleventh hour counter-coup has been making the rounds since last week.

This followed the removal of Abdul Gani Patail as attorney-general and Muhyiddin Yassin as deputy prime minister.

Today, BN strategic communication director Abdul Rahman Dahlan ( photo ) re-tweeted a blog which disclosed details of the purported move against Najib.

According to a posting by veteran newsman Ahirudin Attan, the blog ' Seademon Says ' is operated by the "son of the longest serving inspector-general of police", which happens to be Hanif Omar.

Whereas, previous news reports have identified former Air Force pilot Capt Abdul Rahmat Omar Mohd Haniff as the person who blogs as Seademon.

"Being who I am also means I still have strong links with my father's former contemporaries.

"These once junior officers are now very senior ranking officers, and loyal to their profession and to the institution of the force.

"I had dinner with a couple of them tonight and of course, the discussion that ensued ranged from the old days to the current political circus. Much was revealed about the things that have been happening in the background," wrote the blogger.

Without mentioning names, he said a certain former senior minister had met up with an opposition leader and 30 other MPs to discuss the formation of a coalition government to replace the current one.

"Of course PAS was not invited, not the incumbents of course. There was also another similar meeting held at the KLGCC where around 15 people attended.

"When the lead 'guest' arrived, they changed the venue to a larger meeting room," he added.

Sultan-Muhyiddin meeting

The blogger also claimed to have been made aware of three other things, first of which that the recent meeting between Sultan of Johor Ibrahim Ismail, and former deputy premier Muhyiddin Yassin was not held at the request of the ruler.

"It was arranged by a certain businessman who did not get to execute a project when Pak Lah (Abdullah Ahmad Badawi) was the prime minister," he said, without identifying the corporate figure.

Second, the blogger said Abdul Gani has to go for three dialysis sessions per week that takes up a whole working day each session.

"Third, the MACC (Abu Kassim Mohamed) head has been hospitalised to remove a growth near his spine.

"It is operable but has to be done quickly, and the good Tan Sri will be out of action for about a month," he added.

The blogger also claimed that he was informed of a move involving a group of Umno people, inviting non-Umno people to join them in pressuring Najib to step down.

"When I asked my dinner companions, they just smiled and said, 'Wait for it. We know!'," he said.
