LETTER | The National Union of Malaysian Muslim Students (PKPIM) followed closely the recent attempt to demolish the reputation of Anwar Ibrahim. 

PKPIM calls for all parties to stop all efforts to defame any leader through gutter politics.

Our stand on this issue remains clear, regardless whether such efforts are against the leadership of the government or the opposition. We need to stop the usage of gutter politics from smearing our own political landscape.

We shall defend our principle of rejecting immoral politics. 

At the same time, we urge all political parties to shift their attention and focus to issues concerning the people especially students and the welfare of the youth.

Hence, we also urge the Malaysians to reject in totality the culture of gutter politics and focus on pushing the government to focus on the country's development and the welfare of the people.
