The PAS disciplinary committee, which was slated to announce its findings on the alleged misconduct of its Selangor commissioner Hasan Ali and Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad this afternoon, has postponed the matter to next Friday.

azlan This is because attempts to contact both party leaders to inform them of the findings before revealing it to the media failed.

Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, who heads the disciplinary committee, said: "A notice shall be served to both party leaders to summon them to the party's headquarters on Jan 29 at 3pm."

Meanwhile, another member of the committee Wan Mutalib Wan Embong said Khalid is facing two counts of misconduct.

The first is for openly criticising the Selangor PAS commissioner.

Damaging public spat

Khalid had hit out at Hasan for the latter's vocal opposition to the Select Committee on Competence Accountability and Transparency (Selcat) hearings.

The second count is for revealing in his blog entry classified minutes of the Selangor PAS state liaison committee meetings on Sep 27 last year.

Hasan is also facing two counts of misconduct.

First for publicly criticising the Selcat hearings and secondly for publicly opposing the appointment of Liew Siew Moi as PKNS general manager.

Hasan and Khalid, who the former fired as Selangor PAS deputy commissioner, were brought before the disciplinary body on the grounds that their public spat damaged Pakatan Rakyat’s image.
