MCA Youth chief Chong Sin Woon wants DAP national organising secretary Anthony Loke to explain the nature of his "friendship" with Umno supreme council member Nazri Abdul Aziz.

"What type of friendship is there between Loke and Nazri? Why did Nazri attack MCA so soon after I held a press conference?" he was quoted as saying by Nanyang Siang Pau.

Nazri (photo) berated Chong after the MCA leader, at a press conference, asked him to be a "real man" and apologise for his tirades against tycoon Robert Kuok.

Nazri said Chong was in no position to make demands unless he could defeat Loke in Seremban, whom the tourism minister described as a "good friend."

Chong is slated to run against incumbent Seremban MP Loke (photo below) in the coming general election.

Nazri also went on the offensive against Chong’s party, which is a staunch ally of Umno, stating that MCA does not represent the Chinese community due to their poor performance in the 2013 polls.

Instead, he labelled the party’s rival, DAP, as the true “voice of the Chinese in Malaysia.”

After blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin had alleged the Hong Kong-based Kuok was funding DAP, Nazri called the billionaire “pondan” (effeminate) and demanded that 94-year-old tycoon relinquish his Malaysian citizenship.

Kuok subsequently denied Raja Petra’s allegations and said he reserved the right to sue the UK-based blogger.

Although Nazri thanked Kuok for the clarification, he maintained that he would not apologise for his outbursts against the billionaire.

In an immediate reaction to Chong's statement, Loke said he was "speechless".

"Since when befriending a political opponent is a 'crime' in Malaysia?" he asked in a Facebook posting.

"If you can't take the heat in political arguments, then just keep your mouth shut!"
