Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor arrived in Langkawi last night for a holiday with their family in the island resort.

It was learnt that Najib and his wife came with 13 members of the family for a three-day holiday there.

Langkawi Umno division head Nawawi Ahmad when contacted by Bernama this evening said the visit of the former prime minister was only for holiday and they arrived at Langkawi International Airport at about 8pm last night.

Without elaborating further, Nawawi said he and the other leaders of division received the former prime minister and his family at the airport as a gesture of moral support to Najib and his family.
