DAP to decide on leaders taking 'Datuk' titles

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said his party will convene a meeting on its leaders receiving "Datuk" titles, stressing that the DAP should not be seen as coveting titles.

Lim, in an interview, revealed that he had scrapped a plan to replace his office windows with bulletproof ones as part of an effort to save government funds.

Tebing Tinggi assemblyperson Abdul Aziz Bari was elected as the new Perak DAP vice-chairperson.

Hadi downplays Anwar's win

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang claimed that the lower turnout in the Port Dickson by-election, which PKR president-elect won with a bigger majority, showed the tide was turning against Pakatan Harapan.

Lim shot back by saying that Hadi was "hallucinating" and should be more worried about the tide against PAS as the party is reverting to a regional one instead of a national party.

PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said Anwar's victory was historic and noted that he had won in all polling districts previously captured by BN.
