Cameron voters urged to opt for development

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng urged constituents in Cameron Highlands to vote for development by ensuring a Pakatan Harapan victory in the coming by-election.

Former Umno vice-president Hishammuddin Hussein said that his participation in BN’s by-election campaign puts to rest speculation about his future in the party.

The individual photographed wearing a Harapan T-shirt while handing out money to volunteers for the by-election was grilled by the MACC.

MCA vice-president Ti Lian Ker said the photographs of the money being handed out showed Harapan's hypocrisy, as it had in the past criticised allegedly corrupt electoral practices.

MACC probes 'fake' fireproof suits purchase

The MACC said it is in the process of determining whether the RM13.5 million worth of fireproof suits obtained by the Fire and Rescue Department in 2016 are fake.

The commission is also investigating the ownership of the firm that supplied the fireproof suits to the department.

Former Tabung Haji chairperson Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim claimed trial to 12 counts of gratification and money laundering amounting to RM144.6 million.

The High Court in Kuala Lumpur ordered former Sabah chief minister Musa Aman to return his passport, ahead of his graft trial.

Musa later dubbed the verdict as a presumption of guilt, since it would prohibit him from seeking medical treatment overseas.
