Muhammed Yusoff Rawther says that he has been told that there is insufficient evidence to press ahead with charges in his allegations that he was assaulted by PKR president Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary Farhash Wafa Salvador in Anwar's office last May.

At a press conference last month Yusoff (photo) said that police had failed to take action in the case and expressed the belief that there could have been political interference in the investigations.

Today, Yusoff told news portal Free Malaysia Today that he was just informed by the investigating officer that the deputy public prosecutor had already made a decision.

“Basically, they say that there is no concrete evidence to establish a case against Farhash," he said.

Yusoff filed a civil suit against Farhash in September seeking compensation for his injuries.

Last week, Farhash in turn, filed a defamation suit against Yusoff over the allegations

Yusoff has separately claimed that he was a victim of indecent exposure, molest and a lewd proposal by Port Dickson MP Anwar, who has denied those claims.
