EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

- SK St Edward Belimbing, Padawan, Sarawak

An individual who was at this school tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.

The person was at the school from 9.30am to 1pm on Feb 9, 17 and 19, it said.

- SK Pelamin Sigandar, Jalan Puncak Borneo, Kuching, Sarawak

An employee at this school tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.

The person was at the school on Feb 16 and 18, it said.

- SMK Asajaya, Asajaya, Sarawak

An employee at this school tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.

The individual was at the school on Feb 8, 9 and 15, it said.

- SMKA Wataniah, Machang, Kelantan

Four more cases were detected at this residential school yesterday, the Kelantan Health Department said.


MARKETS

- MPP Padawan Wet Market, Padawan, Sarawak

A customer who visited the market tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.

The person was at the market on Feb 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 13, from 8am to 8.30am, it said.

- Bandar Riyal Market, Samarahan, Sarawak

The market was visited by an individual who tested positive for Covid-19 on Feb 14 (9am to 10am) and Feb 15 (4.28pm to 5.30pm), the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.

- Pasar Tamu Sungai Plan, Bintulu, Sarawak

A customer who visited on Feb 21 from 2pm to 2.30pm, tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.


RESIDENCES

- Kampung Empat, Nabawan, Sabah

Residents of Kampung Empat, Kampung Enam and surrounding villages who attended a funeral at Kampung Empat on Feb 9 are advised to seek Covid-19 screening, the Nabawan Health Department said.

The screening can be done at the department on Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 11am, it said.

Those affected can contact the department's Covid-19 hotline at 087-366286 for more information.

- Various localities in Pontian, Johor

A total 47 Covid-19 cases were detected in these localities in Pontian yesterday, the local health department said:

- Taman Tiara Perdana and Kampung Melayu Bukit Nyamuk, Kluang, Johor

Two Covid-19 cases were detected at these locations yesterday, according to the Kluang Health Department.

The cases were detected through close contact tracing of persons infected in the Perindustrian Pelepas cluster, it said.

- Padang Tembak, Kluang, Johor

A Covid-19 case was detected yesterday, according to the Kluang Health Department.

The case was detected through close pre-departure screening of an individual returning to India, it said.

- Various localities in Batu Pahat, Johor

A total of 37 Covid-19 cases were detected in these localities in Batu Pahat yesterday, the local health department said:

Four Covid-19 cases were detected at Taman Sri Saujana, Teluk Ramunia, Felda Bukit Ramun and Felda Sungai Mas yesterday, the Kota Tinggi Health Department said.

- Atria Soho, Damansara Jaya, Selangor

A unit here was disinfected after possible exposure, the Bandar Utama Assemblyperson Service Centre said.

DAP's volunteer disinfection unit did so on Feb 20, after receiving a request from the resident through Bandar Utama assemblyperson Jamaliah Jamaluddin's office.

GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Pasir Puteh and Bachok district police headquarters, Kelantan

Two detainees held at the lock-ups at the respective police headquarters were found to be Covid-19 positive, the Kelantan Health Department said.


FACTORIES

- HeveaPac Sdn Bhd, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan

Covid-19 cases at this factory are linked to the Industri Sungai Gadut cluster, Paroi assemblyperson Mohamad Taufek Abdul Ghani confirmed to Malaysiakini.

The Industri Sungai Gadut cluster was first announced by the Health Ministry on Feb 22. As of Feb 24, it has a total number of 1,432 cases.

The cluster is also the main cause for the sudden uptick in Negeri Sembilan's daily Covid-19 cases.
