The government's agreement with Pakatan Harapan has been shared on Parliament's website.

Article 6 of the 17-page document - dubbed the Memorandum of Understanding on Transformation and Political Stability - had stipulated that the document must be made public.

In the document, the government promises a slew of reforms and a time frame.

In return, Harapan - the biggest opposition bloc - promises not to use their votes to oust Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob nor block Budget 2022, if the reforms are on schedule and that they are consulted on the Budget Bill.

However, Harapan said it would continue to play the role of opposition, except in the abovementioned circumstances.

The government also promises not to dissolve Parliament before July 31, 2022.

Ismail Sabri is widely speculated to have sought a confidence and supply agreement with Harapan in order to protect himself from internal pressure.

His predecessor Muhyiddin Yassin was forced to resign last month after 15 Umno MPs withdrew their support for him.
